Take your Dog to Work
When we first got Archie I was worried about how my work would affect him. Not everyone is fortunate enough to be at home all of the time and I work as a TV and Video Producer.
Between Alex, myself and our dog walkers Jenny & Lisa, we've been very fortunate to make arrangements that suit us and make sure Archie is happy and not lonely. Wheatens are such loving companions, it would be cruel to keep them from having any social interaction throughout the day. They don't like being left for long periods of time on their own, but hey, neither would I!

On the days when Archie can't come to work with me, I take Archie out for 40 minutes in the morning at 8.00am and then Jenny comes again at lunchtime to play with him and walk him. In the evening either myself or Alex are back at around 5-6 to take him out again so he's not lonely throughout the day and gets plenty of excercise. More importantly, the weekends are his and we go out for adventures together.
This year my company designed the "Take your dog to work day"website for Blue Cross which takes place on the 19th Septembereach year. We try and encourage as many organisation to get involved and enjoy the chaos. Sometimes I'm fortunate enough to take Archie on shoots or into the edit suite and I have to say he's the most pampered pooch. Soon he'll be demanding his own winnebago!
